1. What we collect
When your school signs up, we collect the school's name, the admin's email address, and an estimate of student count, to set up and bill the account.
Beyond that, your school's own staff enter student, parent/guardian and staff records into the product to run the school day-to-day — names, class/section, attendance, grades, fee status, contact details, timetable assignments. That data belongs to your school. We host it, but we don't collect it or review it ourselves — we only access it directly to investigate suspected security incidents or misuse, or when your school asks us to for support.
2. How we use it
- School name, admin email and student count: to set up, bill and support your account.
- Data your school enters: processed automatically by the Service to deliver the features you use — attendance, fees, homework, timetables, and notifications to parents and staff. We don't otherwise access or review it.
- We access the underlying data ourselves only when your school asks us for support, or to investigate suspected security incidents or misuse.
- We do not sell student or family data, to anyone, ever.
3. Who can see what
Access is role-based. Front-office staff, teachers and parents each see only the data relevant to their role — a parent sees their own child's records, not the whole school's.
4. Where data is stored
Data is encrypted in transit, every time — nothing travels over plain HTTP. Regional hosting is available for Enterprise customers, by arrangement, for schools with local data-residency requirements.
5. Data retention
We retain school data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period after cancellation in case you wish to export it. You can request deletion of your school's data at any time.
6. Your rights
Depending on your region, you and your school's families may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data. Your school's administrator can action most requests directly within Skorya; for anything else, contact us.
7. Children's data
Skorya is used by schools to manage student records, including for students under 18. We rely on the school, as the account holder, to have appropriate consent and legal basis under its local laws to enter student data into the Service.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to your school's administrator.
